Marco: Movie Review: Biggest Movie Of 2024

A Certificate Films and Their Impact

Everyone knows that some particular films are given an A certificate by the censor board only because they believe that these are some particular types of films that people over 18 should watch. But today, after watching the Marco film, I felt that in the future, if a violent or brutal film of Marco’s level comes out, so, according to me, it should come with a different certificate.

The Need for Special Mentions in Certifications

At least, if it’s an A certificate, then there should be some special mentions in it as to what level of extreme things we are getting to see in that film, and those things should be cleared. Because this is not just an A-certificate film. It is many times more violent, many times more brutal than that.

The Extreme Nature of Marco

Look, the trailer, teaser, and all the promotional materials that came out made it clear that, yes, the film is going to an extreme level. And that’s why I didn’t even say anything there. Sometimes, people just say that we will go extreme, and some scenes, some shots, you know, and there is nothing in the film.

Violence Beyond Expectations

But let me tell you, I mean, in this film, the level of violence I saw, the level of brutality I saw—even 1 percent of it, even 1 percent of it, I didn’t imagine. To be very honest, I didn’t imagine at all. I didn’t expect it at all. I didn’t expect even 1 percent of what I got to see. Especially just 15–20 minutes before the climax fight scene, a scene comes, a long scene comes.

The Climax Scene Intensity

The things that you get to see there, friends—I mean, I’m not exaggerating; I’m just saying what’s in my heart. I mean, in between, I was saying that, bro, hero, get up. Stop it. Stop whatever is going on. I don’t care if it’s a routine; the hero is getting up. I don’t care, but stop it. I don’t want to see it anymore.

Personal Experience with the Film

I mean, the violence of this level was visible there. And I am not saying these things to hype or exaggerate. You all know that I don’t like to hype things much. And I am not saying this to hype. This is just my personal experience. There can be a different kind of experience for different people.

Simple Storyline with Extreme Action

Now, if we talk about the film, in the film, the Marco film comes with a very simple and routine storyline, where if you look at the first half of the film, it tries to give a very basic emotional build-up to a large extent. And in the meantime, Marco’s brother’s murderer is tried to be found.

Interval Fight and Comparisons

And here one thing I will like to say about the interval fight sequence is that it is a very interesting coincidence that Pushpa 2 was released a few days back and Marco has just come, so obviously no one has copied or taken inspiration from anyone, but still, if you watch both the films, then here in the climax of Pushpa 2 and in the interval of the Marco film, you can see that we will definitely see some similarities, interesting similarities.

Increasing Brutality and Challenges

And then, as I said, from there, in the film, whether it is called action, brutality, or violence, all these things exponentially increase with each scene that it will really drive you crazy. In the second half, one thing that is best in this film is that despite being a simple story, the challenges that are coming in front of Marco Strong’s second engagement.

Villain’s Character and Impact

And not just action and brutality, the villain in the story, or the most challenging characters, when they are killed one by one, and after that, some other strong character stands here, and when Kabir Duan Singh enters at the end of the story, Kabir Duan Singh has played a negative role in many South Indian films for a long time, but to be very honest, after a long time, or maybe, I don’t remember, maybe for the first time, I can say that he looks like a villain type person.

Emotional Build-Up and Background Music

As I said in the beginning, the film tries to develop basic emotions here. So don’t expect too much from here in terms of emotions. But still, I would say that some scenes have been staged quite well here while capturing those basic emotions. And I would say that for this reason, there are many scenes where there is a good elevation.

Overall Verdict on Marco

So, if you want to see next-level violence with a simple storyline, basic emotions, and engaging screenplay, then film Marco is for you. You can watch this film once. But yes, you can say that the climax fight scene could have been a little better.

Final Thoughts and Personal Experience

But still, the film already gave so much that I did not expect. So for me, I would say that it proved to be a more-than-expected experience. I did not have any special expectations from this film. And this film definitely gave me a surprise.
